Colors influencing to decorate a home

Colors influence our daily lives more than most of us realize. Colors can evoke feelings of warmth, calmness, excitement, happiness and even promote conversation and appetite. So when selecting color to decorate a home, it’s important to take into consideration what a specific color can suit a particular room.

White
White is probably the most popular color for home decorating. It is versatile and easily mixes with others colors to add highlights. White it mostly seen in kitchens, bathroom and laundry rooms because of its fresh, clean and cooling feel.

Yellow
A very vibrant and happy color, yellow creates high energy for a room. Beautifully refreshing when paired with white, yellow is again a great color for kitchens in addition to laundry rooms.

Blue
Blue is a very soothing color, creating a feeling of calmness and serenity. Often seen in bedrooms and bathrooms, blue allows for peaceful thinking and relaxation of the mind and body.

Green
Depending on the shade, green can either be a warmer or cooler color. A perfect reflection of nature, green can have a calming and soothing effect on a room, making it ideal for living and family rooms. Also known for reflecting good health, green is an ideal accent color for any style kitchen.

Red
Red is a very dominant and vibrant color. It creates excitement and high energy and is also known to stimulate one’s appetite and aid in conversation, making it perfect for both dining and living rooms.

Orange
Orange is a friendly and warming color like red, but not as dramatic. Because of its welcoming feel, orange works very well in living rooms, family rooms and entry ways.

Brown
Masculine and sophisticated would probably be the best ways to describe the color brown and its varying shades. Because it evokes a warm and cozy feeling, brown it most likely suitable in home libraries and dens.

Too much of any color can sometimes feel overwhelming. By incorporating color in small doses, either in wall paint, furniture, linens or accent pieces, each room can reflect the atmosphere it was intended to be.
