Buy a desk with shallow shelves above. This maximizes the area above the desk, which would otherwise be wasted.


While choosing drapery select the ones that are nearly the same height as the room. Hang it near the ceiling regardless of the height of the window but Keep the curtain from touching the floor so that the fabric doesn’t break, as this can look heavy in a small space. Choose fabrics that allow views to the outdoors.
