Tiles for commercial establishments

When it comes to choosing the flooring for commercial spaces like malls and restaurants, you have to be careful that you choose the right type of flooring as the flooring meant for residential spaces would not suit commercial establishments. Places like malls and shopping centres have to cope up with heavy footfall throughout the day and at the same time maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patrons. Hence, the requirements for commercial flooring are completely different from that of regular flooring. Here are a few considerations before your look for commercial flooring.

Hrjohnsonindia
Commercial Flooring

Illusion of space

When looking for tiles for commercial spaces, look for those that can create an illusion of space. Most malls and shopping centres have tiles in greys and beiges as these are supposed to be most neutral of all colours. While looking for tiles for commercial establishments, the most neutral shade is chosen. However, times are changing and more and more innovative designs are coming into picture. These innovative designs for floor tiles are now being taken as an integral part of the floor design process. Opting for carpet tiles for commercial flooring gives you a chance to create flooring that is truly unique, custom-made to suit the area’s colour, taste and mood.

Durability

When looking for tiles for commercial spaces, remember that it is practically not possible to replace the tiles every few years. Hence, for commercial spaces, you need tiles that are extremely durable and have a long shelf life. Places like shopping malls will be exposed to heavy customer traffic and thus the tiles should be able to withstand the load and should be resistant against damage. Apart from damage, tiles for commercial spaces should be resistant to general wear and tear. For commercial spaces, you can opt for carpet tiles that have a dense loop pile construction which can be used along with vinyl flooring. Remember that when it comes to durability, hardwood flooring is the last option you should consider as it is not known for durability.

Cleaning your floor tiles effectively

Hrjohnsonindia
Cleaning Floor Tiles
You may have installed the most beautiful looking floor tiles for your home but remember that they also need proper cleaning. Cleaning floor tiles and grout lines can be a challenging task at hand. Your floor tiles are subjected to a lot of moisture and heavy traffic throughout the day which makes them susceptible to catch dirt. Add to this, the porous nature of the grout makes it easy for dirt and dust to build up making the cleaning procedure even more difficult. If you want an easy solution to clean your floor tiles effortlessly, then look no further than vapour steam cleaners.

In the past years, technology has advanced to a great extent and there have been many innovations brought about in the make and design of steam cleaning machines. Steam cleaners endowed with latest technological inputs have made the cleaning procedure easy, quick and effective. Thus, your floor tiles are not exposed to strong chemicals and as such, this is the most eco-friendly way of cleaning your floor tiles

Benefits of steam cleaners
Steam cleaners use vaporised steam for cleaning your floor tiles. The steam is heated under very high temperature and contains almost negligible moisture content. This means that the steam is dry and once the cleaning process of your tiles is finished; there won’t be any moisture left on the grout lines or the floor tiles. This feature of no moisture content is extremely beneficial for floor tiles.

Two simple ways to save space in your home

Hrjohnsonindia
Home renovation is a much debated subject. What designs one may like for their home may be completely detested by another. When it comes to designing small homes, you need to extra careful as even a small mistake can end up making the home look claustrophobic. Not all of us are blessed with large homes but one should not lose heart just because your home has small space. There are many things you can do that can create an illusion of a larger area. Some of these things are explained below...

De-clutter

The first thing you need to do is get rid of all those unwanted things that are unnecessarily acquiring space in the room. Get a large box, dump in all the items that are not needed and be super specific about what accessories and artefacts adorn the room. When you cut down on the number of accessories in the room, it creates a lot of free space and this gives your room a neat appearance. You will be amazed at the amount of space saved but removing all the unwanted accessories.

Do away with window treatments

If your room size is small, absolutely avoid going for large, bulky window treatments for your room windows. These bulky window treatments not just block out the limited light entering your room but also eat up a lot of space in the room. Instead of the window treatments, you can simply opt for light curtains, blinds or shutters. They do not take a lot of space and also provide right amount of privacy required in the room. If you are flexible with your budgets, then you can also go for custom designed blinds for your windows. You can choose the material, size and the shape of the blinds that you want for your windows.

Tiles for industrial spaces

Hrjohnsonindia
Industrial Flooring
Industrial flooring has to be chosen wisely as it will be drawing a huge number of footfalls. The flooring for industrial spaces has to be durable enough to last for a long time without getting spoilt.

Unlike the olden days, when there were limited options for industrial flooring, the market is now buzzing with a variety of industrial flooring types available. There are different types of industrial flooring available, in diverse textures, materials and designs. It is important that you select an appropriate type of tiles for your industrial space. Tiles meant for a hospital would not be suitable for a restaurant or a shopping mall.

Factors to consider
Before you start looking for tiles for your industrial space, you need to get answers to a few questions. You have to first decide what type of industrial space need to be tiled, what will be the type of usage of the tiles- whether the flooring will attract a lot of traffic throughout day or will there be heavy traffic only at certain periods. You also need to determine how often you will be cleaning the floor tiles. If you plan to clean the tiles once in a week, then it is good to opt for stain-free tiles. You also need to chalk out how often will you be changing the tiles and what extent of durability are you looking at. Lastly, you have to figure out what extent of moisture will the tiles be subjected to. If the flooring will be subjected to a high amount of moisture, then it makes no sense to opt for tiles that have high water absorption rates.

Industrial tiles from Endura
Industrial tiles from Endura come with a lot of features and benefits. They are designed to withstand a high amount of traffic and also have an abrasion free surface apart from being anti-skid. If you are looking for industrial tiles, then look for Endura tiles marketed under H & R Johnson (India).
